Medical abortion is a non-surgical method used to terminate an early pregnancy, typically up to 9 weeks gestation. An screening tests for pregnancy are required before a medical abortion procedure, test can be arranged through your own health professional or book an appointment with us for a Screening blood test for pregnancy.

Test must includes:

  • Blood test for pregnancy(HCG)
  • Ultrasound scan
  • Vaginal Swabs test x2

The medical abortion involves taking a combination of medications. First, a medication is taken to block the hormone progesterone, which is necessary for pregnancy to continue.
